" I sometimes suspect that we're seeing something in the Internet as significant as the birth of cities. It's really something new, it's a new kind of civilization."
- William Gibson

Gravanol
A medicine or supplement that helps astronauts deal better with high accelerations.

Venus Equilateral Relay Station is in trouble; they need oxygen quickly.

Channing leaped to his feet. He landed on his heels, spun, and snapped at Arden: "Get on the type. Have 'em slap as many oxy-drums on the fastest ship they've got! Get 'em here at full throttle! Tell 'em to load up the pilot and crew with gravanol and not to spare the horsepower! Scram!

I can't find any indication that space agencies are developing some sort of drug to help astronauts cope with prolonged high acceleration - probably because astronauts don't experience it yet, except on take-off.

The research seems to center on space motion sickness (SMS). The early astronauts in the Mercury and Gemini programs did not experience SMS, apparently because their range of motion and ability to see outside were so restricted by the small capsules. Promethazine has been given to astronauts to help them cope with the symptoms, with some limited success. Read more here (it's an old article, but well-written).
