Russians Create Robot Tank Platoons
The Russians have created the Shturm robotic assault concept, which is remotely-operated.

Although the Shturm system is intended to be remotely operated, at least one vehicle was seen with a crew on board during trials, indicating that fully autonomous or remotely piloted capabilities may still be in development.It is engineered to resist anti-tank threats such as rocket-propelled grenades and can direct up to a platoon (20 to 50) of robotic tanks within a 3-kilometer (1.8-mile) radius.
Multiple combat configurations of the Shturm vehicle have been tested. One variant features a 50-ton assault tank equipped with a standard 125mm main gun, with the option of an upgraded 152mm gun under consideration.
The remotely-operated robot tank is an old idea; you can find it in the Buck Rogers, 2430 AD comic strip, by Philip Nowlan (w/D. Calkins), in 1929.
