This is a logical extension of the idea of stimsim, or recorded real experience. Initially, it is only possible to do recording and playback in special environments, like a movie studio and then a theater. But what happens when the technology becomes cheap?

Many technologies have been opened up by inexpensive production facilities (like camcorders) and editing software. The final necessary piece, inexpensive mass distribution, is of course - the Internet.
