"I was driving a dynamite truck when I was 14 years old in North Carolina."
- Harlan Ellison

Radar Mesentery
A thick covering that supports a network of sensors.

This term refers to the "skin" of a wrestling robot named "Rolem" and is an intriguing way for a machine to sense its opponents.

It doesn't really "see" its opponent with those eye-things it has; it's all sheathed about with piezo-electric radar mesentery, and it "watches " from all its surfaces.
From This Immortal, by Roger Zelazny.

Compare to the Ixian sight mask from Frank Herbert's 1976 novel Children of Dune.
