"in 1974 I experienced an invasion of my mind by a transcendentally rational mind, as if I had been insane all my life and suddenly I had become sane."
- Philip K. Dick

Robot Bus
An autonomous vehicle to transport groups of people.

Buses without drivers moved close to the curb and stopped at intervals. The lamp posts gave a different sort of light...

He hopped one of the robot buses when it stopped and wanted a cigarette. He was inactive for the first time since his escape, but his nerves weren’t.

Nobody in the bus was smoking. He hadn’t seen anybody smoking.
