| A variation on an old locked door mystery idea. |
This is an inspired use of the "stabbed with an icicle" ploy (which, of course, leaves no murder weapon). A tiny flechette of ice is shot into one region of the body; the damage is done in another.
| Davis drew a pellet pistol and loaded it with an ice heart dart from a small Dewar flask. The thin ice dart melted in the warm muscle tissue of [the man's] buttock. There it released a mix of brucine and potassium into the man's bloodstream… he convulsed in a massive heart attack. |
