3D Printed Robotic Tentacles

The science fiction of the past is littered with clumsy, obviously mechanical robots. But at the start of sfnal robotics, there was biomimicry.

Consider the Martian tripods from HG Wells' 1898 classic The War of the Worlds. They were described as having steel tentacles:
