Cabrini-Green Windy City Musical Building
Chicago's Cabrini-Green project towers have been converted in to towering musical instruments by partial demolition. As the wind moves through them, they play.
(Chicago Cabrini-Green Tower Flutes)
In his fascinating 1977 novel Dying of the Light, science fiction author George R.R. Martin writes about a world that is moving quickly through a solar system. Different races build towns on the planet as a kind of exhibition. One such - Darkdawn city - was built in such a way that the buildings all functioned as musical instruments:
...the city had a song.
It was like no music Dirk had ever heard, It was eerie and wild and almost inhuman, and it rose and fell and shifted constantly...
"Darkdawn built this city, and the Darklings are a strange people. There is a gap in the mountains. Their weather wardens made the winds blow through it. The wind plays the city like an instrument.

In another post, I write about Wege House, a unique home built along Lake Michigan. The house has enormous stringed instruments built-in; some are designed to be played by the wind.
