Toyota's Camatte Has William Gibson's Digital Hood
The Toyota Camatte concept car recently showed at the 2014 Tokyo Toy Show has a cool feature: a digital hood that can display graphics at the driver's pleasure.

A click later and kids' scrawlings would be reproduced on a “screen” said to possess about 7,000 pixels, although the aspect ratio hasn't been revealed. Nor do we know if the hood is Portrait or Landscape...
The Camatte – a riff on the Japanese for “caring” - is an electric three-seater with interchangeable body panels.
Fans of sf great William Gibson recall the hood hologram from his 1993 novel Virtual Light:
Rydell blotted up the milk and most of the flakes. He couldn't imagine what Hernandez was doing here, but then he'd never have imagined that Hernandez drove a white Daihatsu Sneaker with an animated hologram of a waterfall on the hood.
