Fracking Gas Companies Suspend Operations
Fracking natural gas companies in central Arkansas have agreed to temporarily suspend their use of hydraulic fracturing technology (read more about hydraulic fracturing).
The suspension was negotiated after the strongest quake in Arkansas in the past 35 years - a magnitude 4.7 quake - hit the area around Greenbrier and Guy, Arkansas a week ago last Sunday. Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy and Clarita Operating of Little Rock told the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission on Friday that they've stopped operation of the wells.
SF fans and gamers have been playing Fracture for years, wondering when someone would develop a similar technology to "terrain deformation".
