Pooktre Living Garden Chair
Take a look at the Pooktre Garden Chair, designed and grown by Peter Cook (Pook), who lives in the mountains of southeast Queensland, Australia.
This design was one of my favorites at that time. We now have a completely different perception for living tree chairs, which incoprates stone or glass into the design of tree chair. It's been 7 years since this tree was planted and our designs have been changing and evolving though-out that time.
Little update here is a photo of me sitting in my chair taken by Becky. This chair is now 10 years old in the winter of 2008.

Fans of science fiction Grandmaster Jack Vance may be reminded of The Houses of Iszm, his 1954 novel about a world where house trees are grown, with all necessary furniture, and not built.
And yes, they even grew pod-chairs.
