Thump Eyewear: What About Video?
Thump, the first performance eyewear with internally integrated MP3 storage and playback capabilities will be available this fall.

Here's how it works:
Oakley's [Thump] digital music player mounts the speakers to the eyewear frame with miniature extendible booms, enhanced with pivots. They allow the wearer to adjust speaker position for optimal ear placement and to reposition the speakers away from the ears whenever necessary.
Now, we're getting somewhere. Just add some high-quality imaging, and you'll get those videoshades just like Bruce Sterling was thinking about.
