The Semi goes from 0-60 in 5 seconds. Fully loaded, 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight, 0-60 in 20 seconds. The best diesel trucks can go up a 5% grade at only 45 miles per hour; the Tesla can do 65 miles per hour up a 5% grade. It has a 500 mile range at max weight and highway speed.
The Tesla Semi has a 0.36 coefficient of drag - better than many racing cars.
Tesla of course has your charging situation figured out - their Megachargers will give you a great deal on power.
In his 1956 story The Corkscrew of Space, sf legend Poul Anderson described self-driving trucks called electrotrucks:
As he watched, [the spacecraft] entered its cradle and was wheeled off toward the waiting electrotrucks. Unloading began immediately; the trucks gulped packages and scurried like beetles toward the warehouses.
At present, Tesla has not yet posted their video; I'll put it up tomorrow.
