The Pengheng Space Capsules Hotel in Shenzhen, China offers the ultimate in privacy. Staffed entirely by uninquisitive robots, this is the perfect getaway location.

Featuring spaceship-like decoration throughout the property, the Pengheng Space Capsules Hotel offers guest rooms with capsule beds and free Wi-Fi. It has a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk. Free public parking is available.

The Space Capsules Hotel is a 24-minute drive from Window of the World and a 36-minute drive from East Gate Shenzhen Pedestrian Street. It takes 34 minutes by taxi to get to Luohu Train Station. Bao’an International Airport is about a 20 minute drive away.

The elaborately designed capsules come with air conditioning, a flat-screen cable TV and a work desk. The shared bathroom has a hairdryer, free toiletries and a shower.

Fans of sf great Harry Harrison may recall the Robotnik from his 1970 novel The Stainless Steel Rat's Revenge:

As soon as we had landed and our baggage had been disgorged, a robocab took us to the Dosadan-GIup Robotnik. This was the local branch of a planet-wide chain of hotels that specialized in non-human service. Everything was mechanized and computerized. Human beings presumably visited them once in a while to check the gauges and empty the tills, but I had never seen one although I had used these hotels quite often, for many obvious reasons. I had occasionally seen other guests entering or leaving but we had avoided each other's gaze like plague carriers. The Robotniks were islands of privacy in a sea of staring eyes.
