Elektrodress Treatment Suit For Nerve Disorders

The Elektrodress is a prototype electrode suit designed for individuals suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson's and various other nerve disorders.

(From Elektrodress elecktrode suit)

The intention is that the Elektrodress is a wearable rehabilitative device; the electrodes can provide electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) and vibration therapy to help the body relax and increase movement. Unfortunately, the video shown below is not in English, but if you click around a little it shows the device.

The Elektrodress was developed by inventor Fredrik Lundqvist, MD after appealing for funding on the Swedish reality show Dragon’s Den.

Star Trek Voyager fans may recall the special suit worn by Seven of Nine (played by Jeri Ryan), who had been assimilated by the Borg collective as a child. This special prosthetic device was designed by the ship's Doctor with special properties that would help her maintain her human skin once the Borg exoplating was removed.
