Take a look at this Courier Tablet Computer video. I think it's worth spending about 4 minutes; it offers a very intriguing look at how we might be using computers in the near future. I offer a quick summary of features of the Microsoft Courier as well.
Flick through your "infinite journal" pages easily
Use a stylus to write in a search query to look through your tablet
Use a rolodex-style selector for your favorite websites
Drag graphics straight from the web to your diary pages or presentations
Create "sticky notes"
Smart agenda items
Instant sharing allows you to publish your documents to others.
Sketchpad software
Someone at Microsoft has spent a lot of time thinking about the Courier tablet computer, which is now in prototyped form, might be used. It goes beyond the idea of a multiple page tablet computer (like Neal Stephenson's runcible from The Diamond Age) to a working computer notebook.
Obviously, most of these features could be implemented on a larger tablet computer, like the one that Apple has famously not yet introduced; just divide the page into two sections. Are there any features worth taking from this demo?
Thanks to Gizmodo for bringing this leaked video to light.
