Terminator Salvation Motorcycle Robot Like Ghostrider
The terminator motorcycle robots from the new Terminator Salvation movie have remarkable autonomous motion. They are able to right themselves under extreme situations.

Technovelgy readers with good memories may recall the Ghostrider robot first demonstrated five years ago (how long have I been doing this site, anyway?) They participated in the DARPA Grand Challenge from that year.
Take a look at this nicely done video that shows how it was developed, and shows how it works.
And don't forget the earlier reference to the idea of a robotic motorcycle - the smart bike in Bruce Sterlings 1998 novel Distraction.
