3G Watch Phone From LG Electronics
A 3g Watch Phone will be introduced next year by LG Electronics. The watch phone will have touch-screen dialing with a camera and a speaker built in to enable users to make video calls and gain high speed access to the internet.

The product has a 1.43-inch (3.63-centimetre) screen and is 0.56 inches (13.9 millimetres) thick and is due to go on display at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from Jan 8 to 11.
Comics fans will no doubt be thinking of Dick Tracy's famous 2 way wrist radio, which was introduced in 1946 after creator Chester Gould met with inventor Al Gross. The even more futuristic 2 way wrist TV wasn't introduced until 1964.

However, sf mavens will be remembering the earlier wireless wrist intercom shown in H.G. Wells' remarkable 1936 movie Things to Come.
