Teen Hacker Raises Grades Wargames-Style
In an episode reminiscent of the 1983 movie Wargames, teen hacker Omar Shahid Khan altered grades for himself and his friends at Tesoro High School in Ranchero Santa Margarita, CA.
Khan has been accused by authorities of installing spyware on the school registrar's computer to track her passwords, in order to gain access to the county school computers. The effort was made to change grades on his official transcript from C's, D's and F's to A's.

(Mathew Broderick alters grades for Ally Sheedy)
Khan's alleged activities were discovered after he requested a copy of his official transcript on April 20th; school officials noticed that his grades had improved dramatically.
If convicted of all charges, which include identity theft, burglary and computer fraud, Khan may spend the next 38 years in prison. Perhaps if, as Mathew Broderick did in Wargames, he was also playing at global thermonuclear war, nobody would have minded him changing his grades.
