Toriton Plus Like Cylon Datastream
The Toriton Plus music controller is a device that lets you create music by gently caressing the surface of a plate of water.

The Toriton plus music controller is a prototype device created by Sebastian Tomczak. It uses five laser to measure the surface wave values.
Technovelgy reader Moira sees a strong resemblance between this device and Battlestar Galactica's Cylon datastream 'terminal.'
(Standing before the Cylon datastream 'terminal')
The datastream on a Cylon basestar seems to actually consist of water; humanoid cylons work with it by gently touching this illuminated panel covered by a thin sheet of water. Possibly display as well as interface? The ultimate touch screen.
Someone better at Photoshop than I am could create the ultimate
multi-touch display; or maybe just a iPhone 'living MRI' dish to hold in the palm of your hand...

Thanks to Moira for pointing this out.
