Solar-Powered Bra
A solar-powered bra has been unveiled by Triumph International Japan; the intent of this lingerie concept is to stimulate eco-awareness and to promote clean energy.

(Solar power bra)
If you look carefully at the picture of the solar-powered bra shown above, you can see the waist-mounted solar panel that provides power for a small chest-mounted screen upon which the wearer can make their own statements.
I'll bet you're wondering whether or not there is some sort of precedent for this development in the world of science fiction - and there is. In their excellent 1931 novel The Emperor of the Stars, the dynamic team of Nat Schactner and AL Zagat wrote about strange alien beings with thought screens:
Two orange, dome-shaped creatures, somewhat like diving bells. The front of each bell was flattened, and in the center was a huge oval opening, covered by a translucent mica-like substance...
On the translucent mica-like coverings over the orifices, appeared reddish characters. There were four of them, delicate, intricate tracings, lit up by some interior fire.
(Read more about thought screens)
I also found myself wondering if the solar-powered bra could be used to provide power for the pong dress. From Nikkei via Solar-powered bra displays text, holds drinks.
