Wiimote Head-Tracking Virtual Reality Display
Here's a great Wii hack - a head-tracking device using a Wii remote enables a great virtual reality display. Johnny Chung Lee of Carnegie Mellon has done it again.

The video explains the basics very well. By placing the Wiimote just in front of your display, and then mounting the sensor bar on your head, you can accurately track the position of your head. Chung takes the initiative to replace the Wii's sensor bar with its cooler equivalent; a pair of safety glasses with infrared LEDs at the temples.
Be sure to stick with the video to see not just the amazing 3D effects, but also the "television that lets you move around and see more inside it."
