eScroll Design Takes E-Books Way Back

The form of the modern day book (called a "codex") was set in the first century A.D., although prototype versions existed sooner than that. The codex slowly replaced the old style - the scroll, a long roll of parchment, papyrus or paper.

What kind of electronic book would a time-traveler used to scrolls pick? Why, an eScroll, of course.

(eScroll design by Christian Holland)

Take a look at the modern-day competition: the Sony LIBRIe E-Ink Electronic Book Update, the Sony Reader Electronic Paper Book, the News E-Papers From Europe, the Toshiba SD-Book: An E-Book With Two Pages and the newcomer, the Kindle E-Book Reader From Amazon.

The eScroll design comes from a competition at core777 ebook design competion.
