E-Paper By Bridgestone: Ultrathin And Supersized
Bridgestone has rolled out an A3-sized e-paper sheet (that's 297 x 420 millimeters). This ultrathin display (just .29 millimeters) boasts 4,096 colors. However, it doesn't bend very well.
On the truly "papery" e-paper front, Bridgestone announced an eight inch electronic paper display only 0.29 mm thick, with 4,096 colors and can be crumpled or folded like conventional paper.
Now, that's e-paper.

The foldable e-paper will not be commercially available until 2009, so science fiction fans will have to wait a bit longer.
Neal Stephenson, your mediatron is almost ready:
Bud took a seat and skimmed a mediatron from the coffee table; it looked exactly like a dirty, wrinkled, blank sheet of paper. "'Annals of Self-Protection,'" he said, loud enough for everyone else in the place to hear him. The logo of his favorite meedfeed coalesced on the page.

Just a bit larger (science fiction fans are never satisfied), and you won't need to go to the movies (like Spielberg's Minority Report) to see e-newspapers:
