"Generally, the human race avoids doing anything radical until forced into it."
- Frederik Pohl

Wired Glove Interface Display
A large screen display that uses a wired glove interface.

In the film, the precogs provide a large mass of uncorrelated data - primarily images and short "clips" - to the Precrime detectives. How can you efficiently sort through all of the necessary material?

In the film, Tom Cruise's character makes use of special wired gloves; the lit fingertips (and thumbtip) are sensed by the display, which follows his commands.

(Minority Report multi-touch interface)

In the movie, it is not clear whether or not the gloves are a true haptic interface; gloves of this kind would actually feed back to the user. For example, if the computer knew you were moving a lot of data, it could make the gloves convey to you a sense of weight or inertia.

Here is a brief excerpt from the glove interface from the movie. Keep in mind that the movie has some intense scenes.
