Comments on 'Antigravity' Propulsion System Proposed
Hope blooms for space enthusiasts that it might be possible to accelerate space craft to speeds approaching that of light without crushing the contents of the craft. If it works, it could be even better than apergy. (Read
the complete story)
"Wow... I wish I could see this happen."

"for more antigravity research, you guys should check out http://www.americanantigravity.com/
interesting colelction of research and ideas on 'anti-gravity'"

"American anti-gravity is a misnomer, due to the fact that is only the utilization of ionic wind (the stuff that is used in those ionic air purifiers).
Addionally, I'm interested as to how they intened to create or control this anti-gravity, especially when they have no idea of how to do so with regular gravity. Sounds like pointless hype to me."

"Good article. I would respectfully disagree with the comment of "pointless hype" first mentioned above. Reason being, Dr. Felber's credentials: During his 30-year career, Dr. Felber has led physics research and development programs for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, the Department of Energy and Department of Transportation, the National Institute of Justice, National Institutes of Health, and national laboratories. Dr. Felber is Vice President and Co-founder of Starmark.
It may be hype, but I doubt it is pointless.
(Thanks for writing in; I should have added some of his qualifications to the article - I'll remedy that now. I didn't mean to imply that he is not a well-credentialed scientist.
Bill)"

"His credentials are, of course, respectable. Your argument does not address my concern, however, as it still leaves the evident question of how the idea is in fact going to be executed.
I'm afraid that this attempt may only detract from other possiblities of interplanetary propulsion. Something like this distracts investors and confuses politicians, which is something that people like me do not need when they are trying to sell their idea."

for at least 15 to 20 years.

"i have known for years that it would be known that there is a way to travel at or about the speed of light.we as a race needs to work on problems like this one so we toomay travel to other worlds some day! as i see it we are all travlers in time one way or another!! best of luck and keep up the good work!!"

"u need to take a look at the work done by burkhard heim, walter droscher as outlined in a story at this web sitehttp://www.newscientist.com/channel/fundamentals/mg18925331.200.html
if mister heim is correct then it explains why some sub atomic particals have 1|2 spin ,1|4 spin and ! spin as they are rotating through 1 or two other dimentions we are not currently seeing ,also in a universe of oppisites where every extream has an opposite why is there no opposite of gravity ?or is there ? and is gravity mearly a magnetic field polorized along another dimention , if the us airforce is looking at this maby u should as well "

"American Antigravity is our trade-mark, brand-name, and all that legal stuff. If you'll notice, we cover a pretty diverse array of technologies, from Lifters all the way over to really esoteric concepts from String & Brane Theory.
Thus, it's not a misnomer, since we cover more than just Lifters. However, as a comment to dork-job who wrote that, the Lifters themselves contain a well-documented field-effect in addition to the obvious ion-wind effects.
I've just finished posting the interview that I did with Felber the other day, so you can now watch it in Windows Media format online in our videos section.
Thanks;
Tim"

"I would like the writers to check the validity of this person, I distinctly recalled reading elsewhere that this was not true, and given the extreme claims made here, sortof implicate that this person should be getting huge media attention by now.
Thanks, and this site is great."

"Addendum:
"In June 2005 F.S. Felber released a paper claiming that when a mass moves faster than 1/sqrt{3} of the speed of light, general relativity predicts that a moving mass emits a beam of repulsive gravity both forward, and more weakly to the rear of the mass. This repulsive effect could easily be used to accelerate other masses, and the tidal forces are said to be weak. ***As of February 2006, the paper is still in review.***"
***s added for emphasis."

"What I'd like to see is a review of the 'solution' presented to verify it's validity. Then, presuming it checks out, experiment to test it. I'll try to contain my excitemnt until then."
( 3/8/2006 7:42:16 PM) |
"Felber misunderstands the GR equations. Energy is emitted only on accelerations, not at stable speeds and the energy is emitted as photons, not antigravity. It's synchrotron radiation in a straight line, something that's been documented for 50 years or more.

"As to "Gravitational Propulsion", there is some information at; http://gravitationalpropulsionstevenson.pbwiki.com/ this is only old data as the very most recent details have been removed from the net due to confidentiality concerns relating to security. Note there are free downloads, without membership. This concerns true gravity interactions, not electromagnetic or ion effects. Based on Geometrical Interdimensional Structure effects of space/time and gravity."

" Great scientifc question. Relativistic gain in space described by Einstein. "" The questio is - if the energy content of outer interstellar space is one hydrogen atom per centimeter...what relativistic increase interference are we speaking about ???? please..."
( Rod Kawecki 6/9/2006 6:25:36 PM) |
" Felbers project is very important because it involves the source for propulsion resource for acceleration. FTL travel is only availble with the correct amount of power to travel. "
(Rod Kawecki 6/9/2006 6:29:59 PM) |
"It is quite plausible. Although we may be several years away from attaining this technology, i believe it was plausible. Manipulating gravity, with an object -with a sovereign gravity field- would yeild this."
(Koboko 12/1/2006 11:06:16 AM) |
"The emission of a repellent force by moving objects could explain the acceleration of cosmic expansion."
