Could this deep hole be an entrance to a lunar cave or lava tube? If so, it could point the way to a perfect location for permanent habitation on the Moon. (Read

"Stargate SG-1 episode 7x22 "Lost city part 2" features the team punching a skylight in an ancient (pun intended) lava bubble covering an Ancient outpost. The bubble was created by lava flowing and solidifying over the outposts shield. The skylight is created by punching through with a ringer transporter.
