| When someone, as a domineering personality, fights for power, he surely knows what he is doing; he is acting with intention and according to a plan, ethical or not, that makes sense and has a purpose, which we might even be able to discern. But if a gradual accretion of informatic machines and memory banks creates a governmental, continental, and eventually planetary computer network, which is the direction of the current development, the system composed of people and the said network may acquire a dynamic trajectory that does not coincide with the interests of our civilization.
