Comments on WolframAlpha Is Not A Search Engine

the complete story)
"Asimov actually had either that computer, or a similar one, handle more than just votes. The story I remember best had one of its programmers, a practical joker, feed it all the information on jokes/humor that he could, then ask it two questions. 1) "What is the source of humor?" 2) "What will be the result of knowing the answer to the first question?"" (Ashley 5/20/2009 11:26:20 AM)
"So, crossing this thing with Wikipedia would produce an Encylopaedia Terra?" (Mule 5/20/2009 7:28:15 PM)
"Ashley - Asimov liked Multivac so much, he included it n at least a dozen stories. Douglas Adams had some great parody names for big computers; The Milliard Gargantubrain, The Googleplex Star Thinker - see more in the entry on Deep Thought from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." (Bill Christensen 5/21/2009 3:23:26 AM)
"Mule - possibly! It might even be more ponderously complete than the fabled Encyclopedia Googleactica!" (Bill Christensen 5/21/2009 3:26:15 AM)
