One of the most distinctive memories that I have of the Apollo landings was of watching the astronauts bounding over the surface of the moon, taking huge leaps.
This is a great "prediction" or description based on science that was obviously available to everyone at the time of writing.

Came back, and climbed with agile, bounding leaps up the spider ladder to the dome of the crater top. |
