The planet Yildakezer 7 (Chissoku Bogmak) is an authoritarian, monarchist, and crushingly sexist place. The customs officers require ALL offworlders to wear a bracelet like this. It has personal information -- including age. This is relative to the age of consent, and also relative to the seperate age of responsibility, which does not exist for women. A tracking device and an explosive booby trap are also included.

Various tracking bracelets and monitoring devices are available. Martha Stewart, sentenced to five months of home monitoring, sports the BI 9000, the latest in "offender management solutions" from BI Corporation. This 3.5 ounce ankle bracelet is connected wirelessly to a base station installed in the home.
The transmitter is worn by an offender and the field monitoring device is connected to the existing power and phone lines in the offender's home. Using radio frequency technology, the receiver monitors the presence or absence of an offender within a specified range. Should the offender leave the specified range area, the curfew violation is reported to BI's GuardCenter® or the monitoring system at the agency's site.
One of the most recent is the BluTag, from Satellite Tracking of People LLC. FCC approval has just been given for the BluTag, a new wearable GPS ankle bracelet for tracking ex-cons and people on probation or house arrest. It comes with built-in GSM/GPRS transmitter for automatically transmission of your location to the authorities.
