"When you're making a revolution in cyberspace, things look rather different from the way the 1980s cyberpunks wrote it."
- Charles Stross

Robot Conductor
A robot that serves as the conductor on a bus.

Not much of a mention.

There was a grim, almost fatalistic smile on his face as he spied the Number Seventeen bus topping the rise in the hill. Lowslung, a humming teardrop, it came toward him and stopped as he waved his hand at it. He clambered aboard.

“Wardour Street,” he told the robot-conductor.

“Sixpence,” said the blankfaced metal being.

Bradmire dropped one of the shiny little copper coins into the slot, entered the passenger section of the bus, and tumbled into his seat. The bus sped along down Bayswater.
