"...the elements of cyberpunk have dissolved into the whole SF genre, so it’s hard to find anyone writing who doesn’t owe serious debts to Gibson and his crew."
- Richard Morgan

Catchpocket
A small container in a stillsuit that stored reclaimed water.

The most important piece of equipment that a Fremen owned on the desert planet Dune was the stillsuit, because it reclaims water from the body.

"...Reclaimed water circulates to catchpockets from which you draw it through this tube in the clip at your neck...
Technovelgy from Dune, by Frank Herbert.

Here's what it it's like to depend on your stillsuit for water:

"...the ones who carried their pack say there's literjons of water in it. Literjons! And us sipping our catch-pockets the instant they show dewsparkle."

Dune stilltents also reclaimed moisture from the air, and they, too, had catchpockets.

Compare to the water pouches from the transkin from Parasite Planet (1935) by Stanley Weinbaum.
