"It wasn't until I was past forty that it bacame clear that I was going to be quote, successful, unquote."
- Isaac Asimov

Robot Voice
A voice box for a robot that is an analog of the human voice system.

Robots were talking in science fiction before this, I'm sure, but none so well.

The robot nodded, "That makes me feel swell, but what are you getting at, Boss?" He was equipped with an excellent diaphragm, and the presence of overtones in the sound unit robbed him of much of that metallic flatness that marks the usual robot voice.

I hate that metallic flatness.

I have lots of references to science fiction "inventions" (technovelgy!) that are able to vocalize. Go to the top of the page and type "voice" into the search box. Enjoy!
