Sony announced a TV that is 0.12 inches - that's 3 millimeters, for most of the world. The XEL-1 OLED television is science-fictionally amazing.

The resolution of the screen is just 960 x 540 pixels; its widescreen aspect display is just eleven inches in diagonal.
Small, yes. But what a great start. And at $1,740, it's actually a bargain - considering that you are looking at the real-life future of flat panel TVs, it's cheap.
SF readers may recall devices like the visiplate from 'Doc' Smith's 1930 novel Skylark Three, or the poster TV from Larry Niven's 1976 novel A World Out of Time.
