Comments on Snake-like Robots For Throat Surgery Doc Ock-Style
Snakelike robots down your throat? Fortunately, they will be under the control of skilled physicians. (Read the complete story)

"You're missing this amazing snakebot..? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-VgI4wNyTo http://www-robot.mes.titech.ac.jp/robot/snake/acm-r5/acm-r5_e.html"
(Hiro 12/28/2006 1:05:31 AM)
"When I showed mediunits, robotic surgery units, on my cable TV program back in the late 80's there were two types mainly. The one type was on the ceiling of the operating room and had arms that descended to the patients. It looked like a chamber of horror in the picture I drew. The other mediunit was the robotic ones that were used in my book THE MADHOUSE PROJECTS. They would assist surgeons or refer to the medical computers while working. They could be on the job continually. They wouldn't have great bedside manners though. But with over eight arms, mediunits would be equal to four surgeons only faster and more precise. Then when they develop microbotic mediunits, the "surgeons" will be able to enter the body and do the work internally without needing to open up the patient. "
