"Cool, also take a look at 'The Ship who sang", another scifi of human and machine combinations."
(Brent 12/8/2004 4:17:08 PM)
"There is a book, "SENTI Book One of the Jackwill Chronicles" where the pilot contrils the ship with is body movements and voice command. The pilot wears a life support mask and is suspended in a tank of semi-thick fluid. A ships bridge, of the pilots chosing iscan be projected in the tank oor the pilot can chose to have everything around the ship and what the ships sensers can pick up projected in tha tank and it islike the pilot becomes the ship. The pilot is not perminatly connected to the ship like in Anne McCafrey's B&B ships in the "Ship Who Sang." The pilot can access what ever information or control screen he needs. He can also access any of the ships maintainers (ROBOTS) and give general orders or take direct control of a single unit and direct its actions."
