| "AJ - great point. I had no idea that the Soviets had done so much work in that area. As it turns out, they have been working in this area for the past 90 years. Antibiotics were developed in the West in the 1940's when the CCCP was isolated; phage therapy was considered unreliable compared to antibiotics. Lots of details at Phage therapy.
