Comments on HIPerSpace Offers Highest Display Resolution
The engineers at UCSD are at it again, creating the world's highest resolution display. (Read
the complete story)
"Web Definition of Resolution:"(computer science) the number of pixels per square inch on a computer-generated display; the greater the resolution, the better the picture"
Many pixels does not a high resolution make. Give me 220 million pixels in a screen the size of a photograph."

"Brandon: Hmmm... I see your point.
Defining resolution as pixels per inch is probably the way most people think about it.
The point that I was trying to make is that this screen has (supposedly) the highest display resolution. (See display resolution definition.)The display resolution (or pixel count) on a standard HDTV display is 1920x1080 or 2,073,600 pixels. This UCSD display and its associated graphics system offers a display resolution of 220 million pixels. I don't know the dimensions of the display, although it's obviously a wide screen format.
I'll put in a fix. Thanks!"
