"This is very close to an idea that I had come up with some time ago. A small handheld device that is spoken into in one language, then translated audibly in the receiving individual's own language. In turn, the other person would respond, speaking into that same device in their own native language, thereby allowing for 2-way seamless conversation via this device. There would be no need to worry about the device understanding the latest slang because, why would you talk slang to a device anyway, that's like typing slang into a dos prompt, how silly.
Besides, if the device encounters any kinds of problems understanding pronounced words, sentences, etc.....this could be rectified merely by wireless means ( i.e. satellite ), where information is uploaded to the device regularly. "
