Government In-Home Surveillance - Yes! Say Third Of Under-30 Adults
Apparently, lots of Americans under the age of thirty are ready for government surveillance right in their own homes.

SF authors Pournelle and Niven described the idea of having Monitored In-Home Security at least forty years ago, in their excellent 1981 novel Oath of Fealty:
He waited. On the screen above, a woman... came into the kitchen, looked down in horror, and shouted "Peter!"
Then she looked up with a smile and moved closer to the camera. "Thank you, Officer," she said.
This was actually tried on a limited basis in the UK in 2009; see In-Home Surveillance For 20K Brit Families.
The Cato Institute’s recent 2023 national survey on central bank digital currency (CBDC) yielded troubling findings about younger Americans’ affinity for government surveillance within their own homes. Nearly a third (29 percent) of those age 18–29 support “‘the government installing surveillance cameras in every household’ in order to ‘reduce domestic violence, abuse, and other illegal activity,’” the Cato Institute reports. This figure is more than twice as large as that for the general population: 14 percent.
