LiquiGlide Will Be Everywhere
LiquiGlide is a non-stick technology developed several years ago, but which is now expected to become ubiquitous, resulting in less liquid waste of all kinds.

The company announced on Monday that Elmer’s Products Inc. had signed an exclusive licensing agreement for the use of such coatings in glue containers..LiquiGlide, in Cambridge, Mass., has also licensed its technology to a packaging company in Australia. The idea there is to make the inside surface of paint can lids slippery so paint would slide back into the can instead of sticking to the lid and drying there...
The technology could also have major environmental payoffs by reducing waste. In a few years, “we expect it to be ubiquitous,” said J. David Smith, the graduate student turned chief executive of LiquiGlide.
Science fiction fans have enjoyed various forms of the slippery-surface dream down through the years. Winchell Chung of Project Rho suggested the frictionless cups from Larry Niven's 1973 novel Protector:
"Maybe I'll have to go to the Belt after all," he said lightly. Thinking: Or talk Robinson into sending for the files. The eggs were ready. He served them into the cups all backpackers carried at their belts......
They poured the remnants of eggs out of their frictionless cups and filled them with coffee powder and boiling water...
