Romi Robot Orwellian Vacuum Cleaner
Romi the robot vacuum cleaner was developed by ETRI in Korea. It has a particularly neat feature that should make you think of the Jetson's robotic maid Rosie - it accepts voice commands.

However, the recently introduced RIDC-01 robot maid (see RIDC-01 Robot Maid Will Not Replace Rosie In Our Hearts with video) has this feature as well as autonomous path-finding algorithms for complete cleaning as well as dusting mitts. Not to mention a DVD player and wireless news.
So what's the big deal about Romi? Well, it's a surveillance robot vacuum cleaner! Big brother now comes in the form of a sixteen inch robot vacuum cleaner. I think even the developers are stumped regarding this "feature."
