Musk Idea Of Cars Talking To Each Other Predicted 70 Years Ago

Recently Elon Musk floated the idea that perhaps the millions of Teslas on the road might talk with each other. It's not a new idea.

In an enjoyable 1953 short story Sally, science fiction writer Isaac Asimov describes Autonomous Car Intercommunication:

My cars talk to one another. I have no doubt about it anymore. It's as though they've gained confidence; as though they're not bothering to keep it secret anymore.
