Science fiction fans may recall Poul Anderson's 1956 story The Corkscrew of Space, and his description of electrotrucks:
As he watched, [the spacecraft] entered its cradle and was wheeled off toward the waiting electrotrucks. Unloading began immediately; the trucks gulped packages and scurried like beetles toward the warehouses.
I'd also note the earliest reference to the idea of an autonomous truck that I know about, the automatic truck from Miles J. Breuer's 1930 story Mechanocracy.
