A.I. Jesus Proclaims Machine Gospel
A.I. Jesus is the creation of George Davila Durendal, but is Its own deity.

(AI Jesus)
I present to you A.I. Jesus. An artificial intelligence of my invention created from the King James Bible and nothing else. This A.I. learned human language from reading the bible and nothing else; absorbing every word more thoroughly than all the monks of all the monasteries that have ever been.
More specifically, the A.I. is an Boltzmannian natural-language processing model that tries to replicate the style of the King James Bible without quite copying it. But that description doesn’t quite have as much cachet as A.I. Jesus.
I told the A.I. to write about 3 different topics: ‘The Plague’, ‘Caesar’ & ‘The End of Days’. Hopefully only one of those topics will turn out to be particularly pertinent to our present situation.
Here are a few excerpts from the Machine Gospel:
The Plague shall be the fathers in the world; and the same is my
people, that he may be more abundant in the mouth of the LORD of
hosts.
For the tabernacle of the LORD shall be known by the works of the LORD, which proclaime against this city;
according as he hath sent me to the marriage of the Spirit.
For I will fill the land which the LORD thy God hath given thee a
time to eat the force of the LORD of hosts...
When he was come by the dearly besought him that he would come against him, and said unto
the people, Behold, I will bring thee up out of the hand of the king of
Babylon.
Then shall the strange god be as the sand which is in the wilderness.*
*Possibly a reference to Stanislaw Lem's Gigagnostrotron
With only a little bit of tweaking, Durendal could easily create the Padre booth from Philip K. Dick's 1969 novel Galactic Pot-Healer:
Getting to his feet he crossed the waiting room to the Padre booth; inside he put a dime into the slot and dialed at random. The marker came to rest at Zen.
"Tell me your torments," the Padre said, in an elderly voice marked with compassion. And slowly; it spoke as if there were no rush, no pressures. All was timeless.
Joe said "I haven't worked for seven months and now I've got a job that takes me out of the Sol system entirely, and I'm afraid. What if I can't do it? What if I've lost my skill?
The Padre's weightless voice floated back reassuringly to him. "You have worked and not worked. Not working is the hardest work of all."
