TytoCare Offers Futuristic Home Care

TytoCare is a easy-to-use home medical care device that provides the equivalent of a medical exam at home.

With Tyto, a healthcare provider can examine your heart, lungs, throat, ears, skin, abdomen, heart rate, and body temperature, and diagnose and treat many of the most common conditions, such as:
  • Ear infections
  • Cold and flu
  • Fever
  • Headaches
  • Eye irritation
  • Congestion
  • Sinus pain
  • Allergies
  • Sore throat
  • Coughs and upper respiratory issues
  • Bug bites and rashes
  • Constipation and stomach aches
Tyto can also be used by your healthcare provider to monitor chronic conditions and monitor your health after surgery or a procedure.

Of course, lots of people recall from the 1960’s the Star Trek original series medical tricorder carried by McCoy on all away missions.

(Medical tricorder)

However, science fiction has conceptually explored telemedicine for about as long as anybody has actually tried to do it. In his 1909 classic The Machine Stops, E.M. Forster describes a person who never leaves her tiny one-bedroom apartment, and is yet tended by physicians.

"Kuno," she said, "I cannot come to see you. I am not well."

Immediately an enormous apparatus fell on to her out of the ceiling, a thermometer was automatically laid upon her heart. She lay powerless. Cool pads soothed her forehead. Kuno had telegraphed to her doctor.

So the human passions still blundered up and down in the Machine. Vashti drank the medicine that the doctor projected into her mouth, and the machinery retired into the ceiling.
