Klout Score Measures Your Influence
Klout measures your online influence: the company's software analyzes your posts from a variety of social networks to see just how much "klout" you have. The 100 million influencers that Klout recognizes come from across 10 networks including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Foursquare. The following factors determine your Klout Score:
Klout even offers Klout perks to top influencers, so there is a sense in which your Klout Score provides real-world goods and services.
Science fiction readers of course recall the reputation-based currency called whuffie from Cory Doctorow's 2003 novel Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom.
An earlier example is the idea of strakh from Jack Vance's remarkable 1976 short story The Moon Moth.

Your True Reach is the number of people you influence. We filter out spam and bots and focus on the people who are acting on your content.
Your Amplification is how much you influence people. When you post a message, how many people respond to it or spread it further?
Your Network indicates the influence of the people in your True Reach. How often do top Influencers share and respond to your content?
Prestige, face, mana, repute, glory: the Sirenese word is strakh. Every man has his characteristic strakh, which determines, when he needs a houseboat, whether he will be urged to avail himself of a floating palace... or grudgingly permitted an abandoned shack on a raft. There is no medium of exchange on Sirene; the single and sole currency is strakh.
