Exmobaby Biosensor Pajamas For Baby
Exmobaby biosensor pajamas are the first baby garments designed for remote monitoring of heart rate, emotional state and behavior.
According to Company CEO David Bychkov:
Parents who use Exmobaby washable, conductive fabric-based biosensor pajamas on their chid will be able to monitor baby's heartbeat, emotional state and activity level on their cell phones.
"Each Exmobaby onesie will come with a baby-safe, rechargeable Zigbee wireless transceiver that snaps into a pouch. From there, the data is transmitted to a nearby PC or cell phone in order to keep parents and other caregivers informed of a baby's status. This continuous monitoring in real time will allow for an 'emotional umbilical cord' between mother and child."

Exmobaby will also become one of the first mainstream consumer products utilizing the Zigbee wireless standard. Zigbee is a standard using a WHAN (wireless home area network) and is targeted at radio frequency applications requiring lower data rate, longer battery life and network security. This is particularly well-suited for Exmobaby moms as it is cost-effective, reliable and compatible with a wide range of USB and mini SD-slot dongle devices, such as cell phones.
Science fiction fans may recall the electric diaper from David H. Keller's fine 1928 story The Psychophonic Nurse, which does a pretty good job of predicting this device:
"...suppose the baby gets wet between times? Suppose it starts to cry?""I've thought of that, too. In every diaper there is a fine copper wire. When that becomes wet a delicate current is sent - you understand I mean an electrical current, not a watery one - to an amplifier and a certain sound is made, and the nurse will properly react to that sound..."
