SCRAM Anklet For Lindsay Lohan
A SCRAM anklet has been spotted keeping track of the alcohol usage of actress Lindsay Lohan. The Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring device monitors the alcohol consumption of the wearer by sampling her perspiration.

(Lindsay Lohan sports SCRAM anklet)
The SCRAM device combines transdermal alcohol monitoring with convenient evidence-based assessment and detection:
Due to ethanol’s affinity for water, it is rapidly distributed throughout the body by the process of diffusion. Upon reaching equilibrium the fluids of the body will contain ethanol in proportion to their water content. The relationship between breath and blood alcohol is a constant ratio such that one volume of blood contains about the same amount of alcohol as 2100 volumes of alveolar air in normal healthy humans. This means that, in spite of a rather large concentration differences, alcohol excreted in the breath parallels that of the blood over the entire excretion phase (rising and falling).
All of the data is automatically stored and then transmitted on a regular schedule; it can then be viewed graphically on a handy internet site provided by the manufacturer.
Science fiction writers have made use of various kinds of bracelets or devices that either track the wearer, or monitor their body functions or thoughts. See the tracking bracelet from Patricia Jo Clayton's Shadowspeer or the emotion-sensing bracelets from Macrosse Plus.
Also, don't forget the tattletales from Philip K. Dick's The Game Players of Titan. "Does it have telepathic content?... No, although I wish that it had." (PKD was also interested in alcohol-sensing systems).
